Devious Journal Entry

It's been ages since my last entry and I was promising to return and get back into drawing. That didn't really happen, did it?

A lot happened in 2014/2015. I started a new full time job, moved back home with my parents and bought a house in September. For the first time in about 3 years things feel normal.
I did give up on my dream to be a concept artist. I put too much pressure on myself and I ended up chasing myself away from drawing. Now that I have a stable job and I'm comfortable financially, I can draw again, but this time for fun. And I have been! I found a ridiculously supportive group of friends on tumblr and they've made it so much easier to have fun and not take myself so seriously. They make me want to draw and create art and I'm so grateful.

So keep an eye out for new stuff here and there, mostly fan art since that seems to make me happiest. I might slip away for a bit here and there, but I do really want to be more active this year!

I fully promise I'm not dead.
But I feel like I owe some kind of explanation.
A lot of changes happened while I was absent. I graduated school, moved out, got a full time job, moved again, and got a part time job. Now my full time job has switched to part and my part time job has switched to full time. In the long run it's all worked out for the better because I'm now able to work my full time job and also work on art. I'm just happy things have settled down, until I move again in June. 
I really do hope to be active again and kick my butt into gear!

But it's nice to be back!

I'm just in awe, really.

I got on my computer and the little counter on my dA widget for Chrome was out of control and I thought something had gone wrong!
I really appreciate it so much!

Hey everyone!
New year, new journal css.
I figured it's about time to write another one of these things again and replace the previous entry, which needs to finally be off my front page.

For about a month now I've been enduring a major art block. I would draw, sure, and I liked what I was drawing, but I wasn't inspired enough to push through and finish it. In other words, I was never excited about anything I was doing. I think I'm just now finally pulling out of it, though and I'm really excited to see what I can pull out next.

I'm still focused on improving my style and many other things in general as well as trying to fulfill my New Years resolutions, which all involve art.
Mainly gaining more self confidence and pushing myself harder to get to where I want to be.

I don't know when I'll open commissions back up, to be honest with work taking up some of my days and school taking up every night. I'm already slow enough when I have time (curse you perfectionism and the need to make everything so detailed) I'd hate to see how slow I am when I don't.
I'd also like to focus more on studies and personal work. If I ever want to make a career out of this, I need to whip my butt into shape.

I hope everyone had a wonderful new year and I hope 2012 proves to be a wonderful year for you!

PS: I also read The Hunger Games series. Very wonderful books. Not amazingly written, but very well paced and full of action. I recommend them if you want a book you won't want to put down!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes! I read them all and they really mean quite a lot!
It sort of freaks me out that I'm 20 now. I'm definitely one of those that would like to stay young and responsibly-less forever! I am officially no longer a teen.

Anyway, commissions will be closed for some time while I get around to sending my computer to the shop to get some things fixed. I use it like crazy and it's just falling apart after so much abuse.
I'll finish the commissions I owe before I send it in though, unless it's a complete emergency and needs to go in straight away.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, thanks to my new watchers and everyone who is faving and supporting my work, and thank you to my commissioners for commissioning me and being so wonderful and patient! :heart:
